Using the Palm Treo 700wx.?

I want to buy a Treo 700wx and just use it as a PDA. The emails and the phone arent important to me. I already have service with Nextel and emails can wait. I just want to use it as a PDA but I’m wondering if I can use the PDA part of the phone with out service.

Yes you can but that’ll be one expensive PDA. You’d be better off just buying a standalone PDA. A Treo 700wx without a contract is going to cost you $499+
