why can i not connect to yahoo messenger on any device i have? the web based mobile messenger is crap imho?

i have a datawind pocket surfer, it will no longer connect to yahoo in the chat client. Also no matter which all in one messenger app i use on my HTC Touch they will not connect to yahoo. I know theres the mobile page but imho that sux. If they can make an app for iphone why not 1 for all us pocket pc/smartphone users!!!!

Yahoo is doing an update to the site to fix this very issue. Many people are reporting the same problem. It is not your equipment or browser.

You can not fix it.

This happened for 3 weeks during the July 2008 update. THen suddenly it worked fine.
