Street View on Maps on iPhone!!!?

On the iPhone on the maps application you can use googles new street view feature which allows you to see in depth detail from the street. How are these images taken? By satellite or from a car that drives around? Please provide a source along with your answer.

lol there are some with satellites and some with cars. The ones with cars lets you see the view as if your in a car so its pretty straight forward literally. The satellite pictures are like the “birds eye view” of the street. So i hoped i helped! Happy Thanksgiving!
